Unlock test

See whether your IP address can use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Netflix, Disney+ and other region-restricted services, and which ones may block your VPN.

Services for this IP

Can your browser reach these sites?

Your browser tries to connect to each site directly. This shows whether a firewall, your network or a DNS block stops it, which the IP check above can't tell. Ad blockers can also make a site look unreachable.

A clean IP isn't enough: check your browser fingerprint

Check from the command line

To ask each service directly from a server or your own computer, run one of these commands: the first on Linux or macOS, the second in Windows PowerShell. Where a service gives no clear answer, the result falls back to the country lists.

$ curl -sL ipdidi.com/unlock | bash

PS> irm ipdidi.com/unlock.ps1 | iex

The IP lookup API returns the same result for any IP in its "unlock" field.

$ curl https://ipdidi.com/api/ip/8.8.8.8

How the unlock test works

Services like ChatGPT, Claude and Disney+ are only offered in some countries, and they decide where you are from your IP address. This test looks up the country of the IP and compares it with the list each service publishes.

It also checks what kind of address it is. Netflix, Disney+, ChatGPT and Claude often block or challenge addresses that belong to VPN providers, public proxies, Tor or datacenters, even in supported countries. A home or mobile connection in a supported country is the most reliable.

Why does ChatGPT say it's not available in my country?

If ChatGPT shows "unsupported_country_region_territory" or says it isn't available in your country, OpenAI sees an IP address from a country it doesn't serve, such as mainland China, Hong Kong, Russia or Iran.

If you're in a supported country and still see the message, your VPN or proxy may be using a server in an unsupported country, or your browser may be leaking another address. Check the result above, then run the WebRTC and DNS leak tests.

Why does Netflix or Disney+ show a proxy error?

Streaming services must show each country only the films and series they have rights to there, so they block addresses they recognize as VPNs, proxies or servers. If this page marks Netflix or Disney+ as "May be blocked", that's the likely reason.

VPNs that offer residential or dedicated IPs are blocked less often. After you connect, check the address here again.

How accurate is this check?

The country check is reliable because services also use the IP's country. The address type is a strong hint, not a guarantee: services keep their own blocklists, and a datacenter IP that works today may be blocked tomorrow.

The page can't sign in to the services for you, so it can't see account-level limits, such as a payment card from another country.
